How to Compare SEO Proposals in Pakistan

Compare SEO work, not just the monthly fee

A useful SEO proposal explains the problem, deliverables, implementation owner and measurement plan. Two quotes with the same price can describe very different services. Put their scope side by side before choosing a provider.

1. Check the understanding of your business

A local repair business, a Shopify store and a manufacturer need different priorities. Look for your actual offers, audience and buying journey. A generic task list does not explain why the proposed work matters.

Ask which customer searches are relevant, what blocks useful actions and what evidence supports the starting point.

2. Separate audit and implementation

An audit identifies issues; it may not fix them. Clarify who changes templates, edits content, implements redirects and reviews the result. Include your developer’s time where implementation sits with your team.

3. Compare the same scope

WorkstreamQuestion to resolve
Technical SEOAudit, implementation or both? Which systems and templates?
ContentHow many briefs, revisions or new pages? Who checks facts?
ReportingWhich sources, metrics and review schedule?
CostsAre development, tools, assets and taxes included?

4. Ask for a page and intent plan

Keyword counts can make a package look substantial without explaining value. Group queries by the decision they represent and choose a useful page for each group.

“SEO company Lahore” and “SEO services Lahore” may share one commercial page. An article explaining proposal comparison serves another purpose. Use search results and audience needs to decide, rather than publishing one URL for every phrase.

5. Define content quality

Content production may mean a brief, a lightly edited draft or a fully reviewed resource with original examples. Ask who provides expertise, checks facts and approves claims. Agree on image rights and future updates.

Case studies need real work descriptions, dates and evidence. Another agency’s project story cannot be rewritten as your own result.

6. Measure three levels of progress

  • Delivery: completed and verified work.
  • Search response: relevant impressions, clicks and landing-page trends.
  • Business response: qualified enquiries, orders and other useful outcomes.

These are different signals. Your sales process influences whether an enquiry becomes revenue. Agree on responsibilities and avoid treating traffic growth alone as proof of business impact.

7. Clarify ownership and handover

Know who owns domains, website content, analytics and advertising accounts. Give access appropriate to the work. Agree on records of changes, removal of access and the deliverables you receive when the engagement ends.

Questions before signing

  1. Why are these the first priorities?
  2. Which changes will your team implement directly?
  3. What inputs and approvals do you need from us?
  4. Which costs are excluded?
  5. How are claims and content reviewed?
  6. How will lead quality be assessed?
  7. What happens to our assets at handover?

A practical comparison exercise

For each proposed task, record deliverable, quantity, owner, dependency and acceptance check. Mark missing details as questions. More articles or more keywords do not automatically create a stronger strategy.
